There is actually a story behind this image.

My friend entered this contest with this fiction (I recommend giving it a read). What a champ, he wrote it all in two days to meet the deadline, only to discover the deadline was extended. And now there have been problems with getting to the actual judging of the entries.

All he wanted was to win the prize from Stoned Trixie / Ghost, so I thought I’d draw him the prize instead. Even though he hasn’t actually won (yet). I wondered, what would it looks like if Ghost had drawn it? I emulated a scene from the entry itself.

Emulating the style is a challenge, it’s hard to get that level of expressiveness and fluidity. I think the expressions here are tame in comparison to the artist’s normal work.
